Eskom Group Chief Executive Andrè de Ruyter will be leaving the power utility with immediate effect after a special meeting with the Eskom Board on Wednesday resulted in a mutual agreement to curtail his notice period to 28 February 2023.

According to a statement released by Eskom late on Wednesday evening, the board further resolved that de Ruyter would not be required to serve the balance of his notice period but that he will be released from his position with immediate effect.
