Load-shedding may possible this week as Eskom has warned that the grid would be severely constrained due to eight generation units being unavailable.

A statement issued on Sunday afternoon said that while some units would be returned to service on Sunday and Monday, the system was expected to remain severely constrained for the rest of the week.

The utility said the return to service of a generation unit each at the Duvha and Medupi power stations has been delayed and units at Tutuka, Majuba, Komati, Kendal and Hendrina had been shut down.
