Magnitude 3.4 earthquake off the west coast felt in Cape Town

A magnitude 3.4 earthquake occurred off the South African coast in the early hours of Tuesday morning, according to the Council for Geoscience (CGS).
The epicentre of the quake was at 33.383°S 17.930°E, just south of Saldanha Bay.
The CGS is the custodian of the South African National Seismograph Network, which monitors seismic wave activities throughout the country.
No tsunami warning was issued for the event.
