SECTION 11

11. Displaying or exhibiting of an animal for show or financial gain

(1) No person, excluding animal welfare organisations issued with a permit by the City in terms of Section 20(2) of this Bylaw, may display or exhibit an animal for show or financial gain within the City, unless such person is the holder of a permit issued by the City;

(2) No person may use an animal for begging or for soliciting money from members of the public in a public place or otherwise.

(3) No wild or exotic animals may be used in any circus act within the City; (4) In the event that the City receives an application from a person for the displaying or exhibiting of an animal for show or financial gain under subsection (1), the City must consult an animal welfare inspector for comment and input prior to any such permit being granted.
